Children’s Services

Some children in Newcastle receive a Direct Payment and since 2009, the Edward Lloyd Trust has been supporting children aged over seven to participate in leisure and community activities on an individual basis.  This involves matching suitable staff members to the needs and preferences of the children, and supporting them from between 3 and 37 hours a week

In 2009 the Edward Lloyd Trust was reassessed for its Investing in Children award, which is evaluated through an external organisation.  Once again we passed and were praised for the work we had achieved
